Do you seem to catch every cold or bug that comes your way? Caregivers typically don’t have time to take care of their own health needs. Do you get regular checkups with your doctor and your dentist? Do you take the time to prepare nutritious meals for yourself or to get some exercise? Do you have insomnia or stomach complaints? Do you actually feel guilty if on some rare occasion you take the time to enjoy a former hobby or interest?
Be careful not to miss the signs of needing help, both in your loved one and most importantly in yourself. Don’t wait for a crisis to happen with the one you care for or with yourself.
